On a recent road trip I realized I needed a fan to drown out the noise from the other guests at the hotel. There was no fan associated with the heat or cooling in the room, and Im used to sleeping with some sort of background noise. I found this app – and it was wonderful! 22 different fan listings, all real – different pitches; you can increase the sound. Doesnt seem to use much power – had it on all night. This fit the bill, I wont be bringing a fan any more. Exceptional!
My family and I can not sleep without this. We first discovered it while in NYC on a trip. The hotel was on a busy street and you could hear cars and horns all night. This app not only covered the noise but create a peaceful slumber. Now we use it every night its on all 6 of our phones. We all use number 21.
Im also addicted to having some kind of white noise when I sleep. Silence is deafening when youre laying there needing something to lull you. And this app does the trick. Its better than fabricated, electronic white noise. Theres something about the sound from a real fan thats organic and soothing. So it was a great idea for this app developer to provide digital recordings of the real thing. Brilliant. I definitely recommend.
I used to travel with a fan for white noise. Now I have this app and its fantastic. It even works when I have the sound off. Lots of different fans to choose from and other noises like the water, rainfall, ocean etc.
I cant sleep without a fan and this app is my savior to sleep in hotels while traveling for work. Or for anywhere that Im sans fan and need to sleep!
Some bad moments
Some of the fans do not even sound like fans and have very annoying sounds mixed in. Wish I could get my money back.
Id like to use for sleep, but there is no household box fan. Can you please add?!
Every one of the fans has a loop glitch. There is a sound when the recording starts over every few seconds. Very annoying and very unsoorhing.
I found this app while searching for something to drown out the noise of an often used Railroad track that was very near my hotel, unbeknownst to me! Not even a week later I was watching over family in a hospital overnight; theres So Many Soothing Sounds to choose from and it will stay on as long as I need it to. LOVE LOVE LOVE!
You can hear background noise on a couple but its not a big deal because theres 22 to choose from. #4 is my favorite! The timer option is awesome and the loop is seamless, I never heard any gaps or breaks. I had it play for several hours and it only used 2% of my battery.
I really wish the App Store let you download an app for 24hrs to test it before you actually bought it... The fan sounds are awful, most sound like anything but a fan. Car mufflers, lawn mowers, squeaky wheels, you name it. Oh, and despite setting the timer, and trying everything else I could find in the settings, the sounds cut off as soon as your phone locks. Its crap, plain and simple.
